Unsubscribe Me - Amnesty International

I support this campaign to eradicate torture and other human rights abuses from our nation’s policies. I believe the way to lead the country and to improve the world is to set an example for others to follow in exercising our freedoms and adherence to principles of human rights and justice; the use of torture, unilateral force and fear weakens and degrades us all, is unethical, and in strictly practical terms is counter-productive.

The link below goes to Amnesty International’s anti-torture campaign, dubbed “unsubscribe me”. There’s an intense video of a volunteer being subjected to a few hours of the techniques our government is using right now.

unsubscribe from human rights abuse in the war on terror

If you find this practice as disturbing and un-American as I do, perhaps you’ll join the campaign and tell others about it too.

Happy Thanksgiving

It’s been months since I last posted, very busy with so much going on with work and trying to sell the house and cars and etc… but I have so much to be grateful for. Abigail has been taking 3-4 steps at a time for the last week or so and is generally indescribable.  She keeps getting easier and more fun.  High-fives, hugs, kisses, sharing all toys and food, endless “hi!” to any/everyone around, the “3…2…1…!” game, sticking her tongue out, peekaboo, hide-and-seek, sign language [eat, more, all done, milk, etc], negotiating stairs, pushing her red rider toy all over the place…. etc. Wanted to at least jot those things down here now since things change so quickly.
